Mary Helen Stefaniak is an award winning novelist. Her books include Self Storage and Other Stories (1997) and Cailiffs of Baghdad, Georgia (2010).

John Surowiecki is the author of a dozen books of poetry, Barney and Gienka (2009) and Martha Playing Wiffle (2017). He lives in Connecticut.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Stacy Szymaszek is the author of five books, among them: Emptied of All Ships (2005), Orizaba (2008), and A Year from Today (2018).

Joseph Vogel was the author of several critically acclaimed books, among them At Madame Bonnard's (1935), Men's Courage (1938) and The Straw Hat (1940).

Lisa Malinowski Steinman is the cofounder of the Northwest PEN associated writing program and has been awarded many honors for her poetry. Her recent collection is Absence & Presence (2013).

Barbara Alexandra Szerlip is a poet and writer of Polish-American decent. She is known for her columns in The Believer Magazine as well as the book The Man who Designed the Future.

Maja Trochimczyk (born Maria Anna Trochimczyk; 30 December 1957 in Warsaw, Poland, other name: Maria Anna Harley) is a Californian music historian, writer and poet of Polish descent.

Judith Vollmer is professor of English and director of the writing program at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. She is the 1990 winner of the Brittingham Prize in Poetry.

Winner of the 2000 New England Book Award, which recognizes a literary body of work's contribution to the region. She is the author of Hoopi Shoopi Donna (1996) and This Is Paradise (2014).

Margaret Szumowski is the winner of the 2002 Peace Corps Writers prize for poetry. She published several collections of poetry, among them: I Want This World (2001) and Night of the Lunar Eclipse (2005).

Laura Ulewicz was born in Detroit to working-class Polish immigrants. She is a great poet which functions as a snapshot of her era. She published a collection of poems, Inheritance.

Diane Wakoski is primarily associated with the deep image poets, as well as the confessional and Beat poets of the 1960s. She received considerable attention in the 1980s for controversial comments linking New Formalism with Reaganism.
